Back to 2026
Publication day! At long last I can share news of Dr. Julie Armstrong’s haunting book – Stormy Point. I’m very proud to have worked as editor with Moonflower Press on this project. Congratulations to Julie - and to Dave and the team at Moonflower.
Solstice Blessings – a toast to the returning sun.
Happy Holidays and hungry herons.
A busy month of consultancy, copy and editing deadlines plus lots of walks by sunlight and starlight
A new edition to celebrate in Turkey
To welcome the darker nights I’m re-reading the Baztán Trilogy by Dolores Redondo. Amaia Salazar comes alive in the mystical, rain-soaked Baztán valley in the Basque Country. The trilogy explores motherhood, feminism, power imbalances, the impact of trauma, and the clash between modernity and ancient traditions. Perfect prep for my current research.
Very happy to share news of an upcoming project alongside Cheshire author Dr. Julie Armstrong. Here’s what Cheshire Life has to say…
New foreign language editions to celebrate in Czechia, Slovakia and Turkey.
A busy month of re-writes and consultancy. A lovely surprise to see one of my Provencial images featuring in Getty’s curated collections.
More Professor Kat’s science facts by the endlessly inventive William Potter and Richard Watson. Scheduled to rocket off the shelves in October.
Professor Kat's Science Facts
Spring brought some exciting consultation work. Including this Prof Katzenstein title by William Potter – illustrated by Richard Watson. Scheduled to swim into view later this year.
I’m still thinking about the mesmerising poetic memoir, Horse-Woman by Sarah Tremlett. Currently reading the chapbook for the third time and finding I need to return again. The ‘otherkin’ experiences it shares touch me deeply.
Publication month is here… to find out more please...
At long last we can share the cover of our new book – released into the wild next month. As DK says…
‘Rainforest explores the dizzying diversity of life in these fascinating forests. Caiman and capybara crowd Amazon riverbanks, ants scare off elephants in the Congo, and birds and butterflies flit through the treetops of Costa Rica.’
And in Sweden, a fully revised New Encyclopedia of Animals…
